4D IP allocations allow you to purchase an assigned range of IPv4 or IPv6 allocations. IP addresses are provided by 4D as an LIR within the RIPE region.
Assigned IP ranges are configured within the RIPE database for your use and will be presented as a dedicated vLAN to ensure traffic security. IP ranges are assigned using the CIDR subnets with the first IP from the range being a gateway IP address on our network and the last IP in the range being the broadcast. All other IP addresses within the range are available for your use.
IP addresses can also be presented over a routed BGP connection provided you have a valid ASN and all BGP sessions will be configured across two separate routers on the 4D core network. If you don’t currently have an ASN and wish to apply for one you can use the ‘ASN’ application form below.
